Team Georgia is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is promoting organ donation awareness, honoring donor families, living healthy and sharing with the world that transplantation works.
Presently Team Georgia has over 80 active members. Members include organ transplant recipients, living donors, donor families, cornea, bone marrow and tissue transplant recipients, transplant professionals, and transplant/donation supporters.
Every member is a registered donor.
Our organization promotes organ and tissue donation awareness throughout the state of Georgia and encourages taking action on the Georgia State donor registry. We also share discussions at health fairs, we share personal stories at churches, schools, civic clubs and hospitals and participating on floats and riding in automobiles in local parades. We are always available for media events – TV, radio, and print so that we can share our personal transplant stories, share donation facts and myths and about Team Georgia.
Our members are also volunteers for transplant organizations such as LifeLink of Georgia, Donate Life Georgia, Georgia Transplant Foundation, Transplant Centers and support groups.
We participate along with teams from all over the United States in the Donate Life Transplant Games of America presented by the Transplant Life Foundation, Inc.
